Red Moon's engineer and producer, Ben McLaughlin, is no rookie to the music industry. A graduate from Loyola University New Orleans with a degree in Music Industry Studies, he received a well-rounded education with a focus on music technology and production. He worked as an engineer his senior year at Vital Sounds, a professional New Orleans-based recording studio. While his expertise lies within the organic genres of folk, rock and Americana, he can work across genre lines with a reverence for each style. With his recording career as a musician beginning in 2014, Ben knows what it takes to get a great performance. As a byproduct, he also knows what a good producer can do for the artist they're working with. McLaughlin's experience across the music industry career lines has given him the power to look at situations from many different angles, and his passion gives him the tenacity to create the best work that he and his clients are capable of producing.
